About Us
It all began with founder José Manuel Correia, who took his first steps in the wine industry in the 1990s, selling grapes to large Vinho Verde producers.
Over time, and with his strong roots connecting him to Resende, he realized that the unique characteristics of this region could not continue to be wasted, and so he began his career as a winemaker.
Vinifying the best grapes that this magnificent region could offer, Vale Mercê was founded in 2022, a project based on quality, sustainability, and the ideal of elevating and taking the terroir of Resende to the four corners of the world.
The Brand
This brand's motto is “A New Generation of Vinho Verde,” with the ideal of being an innovative brand in its products, constantly evolving but never forgetting the traditions and customs of this region.
Winery
Na adega, a nossa filosofia de marca baseia-se na menor intervenção possível, baseando-se, que se houver um controlo desde a vinha, é possível obter excelentes vinhos, sem grandes intervenções em adega.
O nosso objetivo é obter vinhos com mais autenticidade possível de forma, a que cada garrafa transmita toda a genuinidade de Resende.
A nossa adega esta equipada com equipamentos sofisticados desde sistema de refrigeração de cubas, linha de engarrafamento, bombas de flotação e a linha de receção. Temos também aplicado o modela HACCP, para uma melhor monitorização da adega.
Contemos também uma arca frigorífica, para que possamos processar as uvas nas melhores condições possíveis de maneira, a que a fermentação não ocorra antes da prensagem e que possamos manter as melhores características organoléticas possíveis.
